So we went to the leasing office on Saturday at 4:00 (yes, ended our Shabbat observance a bit early), got the keys and instructions and started to move all our boxes into the apartment by 4:45.  Thankfully, the complex has some complimentary wagons near each entrance that people can use to pull their groceries, so we were able to make a few trips with the heavy boxes using the carts.

Spent until about 7pm unpacking and organizing as much we could until we were both ready to drop from exhaustion.  I don't know what to do with all this space!!! (although I'm sure we'll fill it all up in no time).  There is a huge shopping center almost across the street with tons of eateries, so we went out for pizza.  I've been so bad on my diet for the last 2 weeks but today, now that we're settled in, I can go back on my routine again.

The couch we purchased from the previous renter was very comfortable, although obviously not a long term solution for both of us.  But it was only for one night.  It was wonderful not having to listen to the non-stop traffic (although there is the occasional sound of dogs barking).

Sunday was a very busy day.  We learned that the bed would be delivered between 4 and 6pm, so we left to go shopping at 9:30 am.  So many household items we needed.  In addition to some furniture (we picked up a 2x4 foldable table and foldable chairs for the interim, until we can find a nice dinette set).  Next furniture priority to buy is a dresser as we're currently living with our clothing in boxes.  We'll also need a tv and stand (currently using Amazon Prime on the computer which is put on a box.  Gee, feels like we're in college again!)  We needed lots of little items, too, such as soaps (dishes, dishwasher, body), shampoo, broom, vacuum, etc etc etc.   We did a little bit of grocery shopping for emergency items, but will do a larger shopping today.

So today's plan:  I need to do some client work that I've fallen a bit behind on, then we need to do some grocery shopping and also see if we can find a dresser.  Mitch needs to investigate setting up AT&T fiber for internet, as the hotspot is a bit finicky.

Hopefully later I will learn when the movers will arrive (I hope not Thursday, as that's Yom Kippur).

I realize that I also never mentioned our experience with our first Shabbat here or Rosh Hashanah services.  They were really awesome and inspirational and a reminder of why we have always loved being part of this community.
