All settled in, Ellie, swimming

This has been a pretty eventful week.  I can't believe it was only last week that I was lamenting about missing all my stuff and feeling so incomplete and at a loss (even to the point of not being able to go swimming as I didn't want to be spontaneous again, going in the pool fully dressed).

Last Saturday, about 4:30pm, the movers did finally show up with out 40 boxes.  We spent pretty much all day Sunday, Monday and part of Tuesday unpacking and organizing.  I relish all the extra space we have now; it's so much easier to organize things when you don't really have all that much and plenty of room to put it in!  As of now, we are 99% settled in.  The only thing we really need to do at this point is to hang some things on the walls, but (1) we need to buy art, and (2) for the art we do have, we need a larger step stool so Mitch can reach the area to hang it (ordered; should be delivered this week).  Eventually we want to replace the tv the kids gave us with a bigger one, but this is fine for now.

On Tuesday night, Jess brought our wonderful grandpuppy (corgi) over for a long visit while they went away on vacation until today (Sunday).  She was extremely well behaved and now that she's gone, I miss her!!!  It's so weird not having her around now.  She also gave us good incentives to take long and frequent walks, so we'll need to figure out how to have the motivation to maintain that routine without her.

It was a gorgeous and warm day yesterday, so after our Shabbat naps, we took Ellie for a walk to the clubhouse (after playing bubbles at the dog park).  We wore our bathing suits under our shorts and took a nice, delicious dip in the pool.  We had to take turns as no pets are allowed in the pool area, but there's a really nice patio lounge right outside the pool area where the other one sat and relaxed with Ellie.

We are really enjoying this area, this community and this apartment. And there's no shortage of things to do around here as well.  Hopefully by next weekend we can start to enjoy them, now that all the unpacking and setting up is done.  There's also a chance Mitch may be starting a new job (paperwork forthcoming hopefully tomorrow), and I plan to start researching all the business organizations in the area.
